DAZzle Version 5.0
A new version of DAZzle, v5.0, was released on July 1, 2005 and is now available to all current Endicia customers.
The list below details the top new features and changes. Please follow this link to upgrade to the new DAZzle.
Important Global Express Mail Change
As of July 1, 2005, the US Postal Service has changed the format and requirements for the Global Express Mail shipping label. The new format is FIVE pages - similar to the CP72 customs form - and the USPS is more strictly enforcing the information required to complete the form. DAZzle supports this new format and assists with the completion of all required information.
Becuase there are mutliple copies of the form, you should use the clear plastic envelopes the USPS supplies (free!) to enclose the forms on the outside of your package. Finally, DAZzle now requires the Global Express Mail shipping label be used for any item printed with that mail class - no other layouts are supported for GEM.
Other New Features
- The "Postage Log" menu item under the Postage menu has been completely removed and a new Postage Log "tab" has been added to the main window. All of the buttons previously located on the Postage Log dialog are now menu items. New toolbar buttons have also been added for commonly performed actions such as Print Reports, Check Status, E-Refund, Reprint, Print Record, or Send Email. The Details button has been removed becuase the Details information is displayed automatically at the right hand side of the Postage Log window when highlighting any item in the Postage Log window.
- There is new, built-in international "rate engine" which replaces the old method of retrieving international rates from USPS web-site. Thus, international rates are immediately calculated and displayed on the dialog next to Postage Amount exactly as it is done for domestic addresses. Also, on the Print window, the "International Rates" button has been renamed to "International Info" which displays read-only information such as rates and regulations for each country.
- There are 2 major changes for Endicia Insurance. It now supports coverage up to a declared value of $5,000 (up from $2,500) and Endicia Insurance can now be used for items that do not use tracking - in other words, all items are eligible. Please click here for the new insurance rate information.
- The International Mail Shipping Label has been revised so it now supports all international mail classes except Global Express Mail. When using a mail class that doesn't allow the use of the CN22 form, the lower section of the label is automatically dropped.
- There is a new, built-in pass-phrase reset feature. If the account is locked because of bad pass-phrase attempts, DAZzle automatically triggers the selected account to have the pass-phrase reset to the credit card number on that account. Enter the credit card number correctly and your account is reactivated and you can select a new pass-phrase.

- Increased the number of rubber stamps that can be linked to a database field from 10 to 100.
